About
I make work to hold polar-opposite thoughts in the same liminal space. Can a rigid situation be freed into fluid lightness? Will soft materials and organic processes build solid geometry? Sometimes the subject is the materials and space they inhabit. Sometimes it is a pressing political question and the amplified voices of participants and audience. I hand-make textiles to accrue time and attention in the work. By presenting soft cloth in formal spaces I provoke bodily and emotional responses often in sharp contrast to stark content presented as text.
